Once again, it’s time for the City’s annual get-together celebration! This year’s festivities will take place on Sunday, August 11th, at Pioneer Memorial Park. The fun will kick off with a parade beginning at Newport Fire Hall, located at 155 20th Street, at 11:00 a.m., and it will make its way down 4th Avenue to Pioneer Park. All you can eat corn on the cob will be available with the purchase of a Pioneer Day button, which are currently available at Newport City Hall, as well as various local businesses. You may purchase a button for $3, or four for $10.
As usual, there will be food, vendors, and the St. Paul Park-Newport Lions Club’s beer tent will be at the park all day. There will be games, bingo, crafts, and inflatables for everyone to enjoy. Additionally, there will be a car and motorcycle show where trophies will be awarded.
