ELECTIONS

The General Election will be held on November 3, 2020. Newport residents voting on November 3, 2020, will vote at Newport Elementary School located at 851 6th Avenue from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The City of Newport has two City Council positions and the Mayor position on the ballot. Below are the candidates:

Mayor

• Laurie Elliott (1,032 votes-Uncanvased results as of November 4, 9:00 a.m.)
• Dan Lund (907 votes-Uncanvased results as of November 4, 9:00 a.m.)

City Council

• Marvin Taylor (1,017 votes-Uncanvased resultls as of November 4, 9:00 a.m.)
• Kevin Chapdelaine (886 votes-Uncanvased results as of November 4, 9:00 a.m.)
• Bill Sumner (638 votes-Uncanvased results as of November 4, 9:00 a.m.)
• Nathan Knox (509 votes-Uncanvased results as of November 4, 9:00 a.m.)
