Recycling at Home

  • Plastics: Plastics #1, 2 and 5 (rinsed), Bottles, Tubs, and Containers
  • Glass: Bottles and Jars
  • Aluminum and Metal: Aluminum, Steel and Tin Cans (rinsed)
  • Paper, Cartons, Cardboard, and Paperboard: Corrugated Cardboard, Boxboard, Envelopes, Magazines, Catalogs, Mail, Newspapers, Milk and Broth Cartons, Juice Boxes, Pastel Colored Paper, Brown Paper Grocery Bags, etc.
Reduce
Waste reduction is the easiest, most effective way to lower your disposal costs. Brainstorm with employees about your day-to-day operations. Find creative ways to reduce waste and substitute less hazardous products that pose reduced disposal problems.

Reuse
Donations relieve disposal costs for equipment or materials of no further use to you. As long as the items are in usable or working condition, consider the benefits of giving them away. See these sections for ideas:
